Nasim Abbasian Deh , Abdullah Vasegh Abbasi (Author in Charge), Abbas Nikbakht
Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: This study examines and analyzes the stylistics of the Shahnameh of Chitral in order to independently identify the linguistic, literary, and intellectual characteristics of this epic work. The Shahnameh of Chitral was composed by Mohammad Mirza Ghufran on the orders of Sultan Shoja Malik in the first half of the twentieth century and was put into verse by the court poet Malik Mirza Shir Ahmad Khan Kabuli.
METHODOLOGY: The present study was prepared and compiled using a descriptive-analytical method and a library approach, and was critically and scientifically analyzed and critiqued.
FINDINGS: The contents of this research show that the Shahnameh of Chitral is a powerful and mixed language with local terms, reflecting the culture, beliefs, and historical values of the people of Chitral. In terms of style, the work has a simple and fluent narrative, accompanied by poetic images and extensive use of similes and metaphors.
CONCLUSION: This research indicates that the Shahnameh of Chitral is an outstanding example of the connection between poetic language and cultural identity in local epic literature.
